….and the DynaPath Challenge Winners are!!!…. The MACH-DynaPath programming challenge has become a regular, very lively and fun area on every MACH stand at all of the exhibitions the firm attends…and this years Mach 2024 stand at the NEC last week was no different… The format is always the same; programme a complex part, that has pockets, a series of holes, islands, tapered faces, pockets and threads from a DXF file, using DynaPath’s advanced, but easy to use, touch screen conversational DXF programme editor (that is standard on all MACH DynaPath machines BTW). You get one practice go with instruction, and then a timed attempt. Do it in a faster time than DynaPath’s CTO, and win a small prize, but be the fastest of the show and win big! This year, the prize on offer was a fully loaded tool box…As we’re so heavily involved in all things edicational establishments and encourage visits from the students, we had two categories this time, one for students and one for engineering firms. We had hundreds try it! The time set by our CTO was an impressive 59.2 seconds…incredible for such a complex part, but that was beaten! Here’s the winners: Engineering firm Winner: Luke Chadwick from MP Engineering in Nuneaton set a 55.24 secs time. Educational Establishment Winner: 1st Prize: Jay Cheel from Gateshead College set a rediculous a 45.14 secs time!! 2nd Prize: Oliver Robson also from Gateshead College, who lead for 24 hours, but was beaten to 2nd place by his friend from the college. Oli did it in 50.77 secs, so still a brilliant time. We were so impressed we added a 2nd place prize for him too! Congratulations to you guys..and thanks for having a go!! MACH Machine Tools are delighted to announce an official industry partnership and sponsorship deal with Gateshead College. After a few weeks of work between the two, the Gateshead team, accompanied by 15 of their apprentices, visited MACH Machine Tools at the Mach 2024 exhibition in Birmingham to view the machinery, try out the DynaPath control for themselves and once satisfied, sign the Sponsorship deal. The partnership sees MACH Machine Tools remove many of the colleges existing manual and CNC machines that will be recycled via the Groups used division, Machine Tool Sales Online, and replace them with the firms latest WiFi enabled MACH DynaPath VMC’s, tool changing knee mills, flat bed driven tool CNC lathes and an all new MACH Slant Bed CNC lathe. Additionally MACH are supplying a suite of DynaPath remote control system tablets that will be used for classroom programming. Anyone that knows MACH Machine Tools will know how much time and effort we put into encouraging young people into engineering by working alongside their colleges and training centres as industry partners and facility sponsors…It’s a real commitment in terms of time in particular, but we can report that 2024 has already been a huge success for all things engineering training here in the UK. Finally there’s been some real investment funding made available for many colleges and training centres so they can equip themselves ready for the the new T Level courses. It’s looking so much better for the sector in the future with many T Level courses already over subscribed with students choosing Engineering for the September starts. MACH Machine Tools has been richly rewarded in the 1st quarter 2024 with 7 colleges from Buckinghamshire, through the Midlands and right up to Teeside in the North East all choosing MACH as their industry partner and new equipment suppliers. Speaking from the Company’s showrooms in Bristol today, MACH’s Sales Director, Matt Andrew said, “We are delighted to have been awarded with so many contracts for educational establishments this year. Over the next 2 months we’ll be installing in excess of £1.2M worth of manual and CNC MACH machine tools, into 7 training centres around the country. It’s really put us on the map in that part of the industry. Many of you will know just how involved we are at MACH Machine Tools with encouraging young people into engineering…we currently sponsor 28 colleges and training schools around the country, and amongst other activities, offer work experience places to youngsters from the Bristol area…we had the pleasure of having this young man from Castle School in Thornbury join for us his weeks work experience this week. Corey told us when he came in that he thought he fancied a future career in engineering, after his week of working with our engineering, service and applications teams, his dad wrote us a fabulous email, thanking us for our time but importantly, went on to tell us that Corey loved his week with us and now was definitely going to go into engineering for his career! Job done! 👍 Thanks for the effort you put in Corey, we loved having you with us and you’re welcome to come back at anytime!

The Vigilance Group in Bristol are hiring! The Vigilance Group is looking for an inside sales professional to handle its incoming sales calls for the Group’s New and Used Machine Tool Divisions, MACH Machine Tools and Machine Tool Sales Online. The ideal candidate will have a back ground in mechanical engineering, so will have the technical ability to talk to other engineers, have a good understanding of machine tools, both manual and CNC, will probably already be in a sales role, so will be an organised and friendly individual. Joining the sales team in Bristol, you’ll take in coming enquiries, organise the quotation, follow up the sales lead, host the inevitable customer visit and help us to close the sale. Once ordered, you’ll work with our internal Operations Team to get the machine delivered and installed.
