Rewarded at the last 200m with my family waiting to give me a big hug and to help me get over the line. This Sunday I’m tackling the super hilly Leeds marathon with my old rugby pal and best man Nathan Metcalfe. It’s fair to say neither of us are built for 26.2 miles (or 42km for my European friends). So proud of my son Ralph and his buddy Seth. Nearly raised £1,000 for their sponsored bike ride in aid of Save the Children supporting families in UKRAINE. Tomorrow their little legs will cycle from Leeds to Skipton for 28 miles. They’ve made posters, knocked on doors the old fashioned way and hounded everyone in the playground for sponsorship. Great day at Leeds half Marathon. 1st place for Cutwel Team Leader Joe Sagar a full 40 minutes ahead of the 3 steady eddies Joseph Snowdon, Adam Gillard and Carter Russon. Several years ago we had the pleasure of employing a young placement student for a year called Victoria. It was pretty obvious she would go on to bigger, better and more interesting things than engineering tools…. Well she’s only gone and made a documentary which is soon to be released on Amazon Prime. I can’t wait to watch it 👍😀 Well done Victoria amazing achievement

OMG I had one or two of these and that was mid to late 80’s. My dad rescued the pram wheels and wood from the local tip, recycling many years before it became a thing!!! My elbows and knees were forever covered in cuts and scabs from the crashes caused racing down the hill against my mates. I think I’d get arrested these days if I tried to take the rubbish from the ‘recycling’ centre to make a home made go-kart
